The Little Village. (Hospitality and Gastronomy) in Baton Rouge (Louisiana).
Description
So, I recently popped into The Little Village, this quaint Italian spot tucked away on N 3rd St in Baton Rouge. Honestly, you might miss it if you’re not looking closely, but trust me, it’s worth a visit. With a score of 4.4 out of 5 from 563 reviews, I felt like I was in for something special.
Walked in and, wow, the vibe is super cozy. Dim lighting, Frank Sinatra crooning in the background—it felt like stepping back in time. I had to try the bread everyone was buzzing about, but lemme tell you, it didn’t hit the mark for me. Fluffier than a cloud, but kinda undercooked. Others raved, though, so maybe it was just that batch?
Their seafood pasta was decent, but like a friend said, “not amazing.” The chicken piccata? Cooked well, but the sauce was a bit too buttery for my taste.
Service? A mixed bag. Some staff were friendly, while my waiter didn’t really wow me. Still, I’d give this place another shot. Tuesday is half-price wine night, which could be a game changer! If I’m ever in Baton Rouge again, I’d definitely stop by for a second round.
