Salem's Fresh Eats. (Hospitality and Gastronomy) in Lakeland (Florida).
Description
So, I finally checked out Salem’s Fresh Eats, this spot in Lakeland – you know, the one just off E Memorial Blvd? It has this cozy vibe with only ten tables. Not the biggest, but surprisingly lively, especially around lunchtime. I strolled in and, wow, the place was buzzing!
Now, I didn’t see a menu before I hit the counter to order. But let me tell ya, the gyros? They are stuffed to the brim! I’ve heard they’re legendary, and I get why. But lemme be real; I was a bit taken aback by the prices. I mean, I thought fast food was supposed to be, you know, fast and cheap. Who knew paying 20 bucks for a burger, fries, and shrimp was the norm?
And oh boy, the fries were kinda hit or miss. Had some good ones, but a few tasted like they were just on the cusp of being undercooked. But then, the staff? So friendly! Aniya was awesome, always smiling and apologizing for the wait.
You gotta keep in mind, though, they whip up your food fresh, so it takes a minute. I mean, good things take time, right? Still, if you’re craving something hearty after 10 PM, this place seems to be the go-to. Just remember, it can get a lil’ chilly in there. Don’t forget a sweater!
