Z'Tejas. (Hospitality and Gastronomy) in Phoenix (Arizona).
Description
So, I recently wandered over to Z’Tejas in Chandler, AZ, and let me tell ya, it was quite the experience. First off, they’re nestled at 7221 W Ray Rd – pretty easy to find, even if you’re a bit directionally challenged like me. This place brands itself as a Southwestern restaurant, but honestly, it feels like a fusion fiesta of flavors that you wouldn’t expect.
The vibe inside is bright and lively, a bit modern with colorful glass windows. Not your typical dimly lit diner, but hey, some folks dig that. For me, it created a fun atmosphere, perfect for that post-work unwind. And let’s chat about the food. I tried their street tacos and, wow, they’re bomb! Flavorful and filling without making you feel like you’re about to burst. My buddy swore by the mushroom enchiladas, raving about them non-stop.
Now, I didn’t get to try their famous cornbread, but I overheard many people saying it’s a must-have. And let’s not forget the margaritas—seriously, folks, go for the Chambord!
On the service front, most of the staff seem eager to please. Like, shout-out to my waiter, Kevin, who literally lit up the room. But, sure, there were some bumps. One or two diners mentioned wait times that could use a little speeding up.
With a solid rating of 4.2 outta 5, Z’Tejas may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it sure feels like they’re giving it their all. Next time you’re in Phoenix, give this spot a whirl. You might just be surprised.
